Melanie’s dedication to enhancing patient experiences made her take the leap and study at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2000. There, she delved into continuing education for expanded functions of dental auxiliary personnel, making her an even more invaluable asset in the clinic area.
Lauren is our Patient Care Coordinator with a decade-long experience in dentistry. Her warm smile welcomes patients, while her bilingual skills aid in explaining treatment plans, insurance, and procedures. A true Florida Native, she balances work with family trips to theme parks, beach outings, and a love for adventure.
Sherry is our compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist. A valued team member since 2009, she began her dental journey at the Florida College of Medical and Dental Assisting in 1986, followed by a decade as a dental assistant. She then pursued higher education at St. Pete Junior College, graduating in 1997 with an AS degree in dental hygiene and Phi Theta Kappa honors.
Sherry's passion lies in working with people and helping them achieve optimal dental health. Her top priorities are educating patients and delivering comfortable yet thorough cleanings that leave smiles shining.
Karen has been a valued team member since 2005. With an AS in Dental Hygiene from Pensacola Junior College, she boasts over 17 years of dental office experience. Karen's mission goes beyond clean teeth – she educates patients on how oral hygiene boosts overall health, preventing issues like strokes, heart disease, and diabetes.
Karen's not only committed to her patients but also her profession, as she is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, Florida Dental Hygiene Association, and Polk County Dental Hygiene Association.
Dana has been a valued team member since 2000, when she graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) from Travis Vocational Technical Center. She is a member of the Dental Assistant National Board (DANB), an organization that recognizes Dental Assistants who complete ongoing education and participate in annual training.
Starting her dental journey in 1999, Kristi's passion for dentistry has only grown stronger. She observed hygienists and then spent two years as an assistant before pursuing dental hygiene school.
In 2002, Kristi graduated from Tallahassee Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She also got a Bachelor's Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College in 2008. After years in the field, she's back where it all began. Her heart lies in helping patients achieve optimal oral health, a mission that makes her job rewarding.
April was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is our dental assistant. After acquiring her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts in Columbus, Indiana, she refined her skills at the Indiana Dental Academy. With seven years of experience, she finds joy in alleviating dental treatment fears.
April and her husband moved to Lakeland in 2021 and in their free time they enjoy traveling, swimming, and walking their dog, Maggie.
